Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and blessings for the holiday season.  One of my attendings is with his family in New York.  His son is a band member for Eastern Hign School and will be marching in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, sooo exciting!!  I have the parade on DVR just to make sure we see them in action.  It will truly a moment to remember.  Gooo  Eastern!!!
We are going to my sister-in-law's for Thanksgiving, a special time for all.  As I reflect on last year's Thanksgiving, several life changing events have shaped how we view and anticipate this holiday season.  The boys have changed in many ways because of those events.  They are willingly putting up the Christmas trees for me, while I am cooking.  (currently only  one comment on the lack of a real tree, anticipate maybe a couple more.) They wanted to make sure that Chase (the youngest) was around because he truly enjoys putting the ornaments on the tree.  Justin has worked for hours scanning old photos for a Christmas project we are doing.  They have not complained when I refuse to allow the TV or computer to be available, and we play scrabble or I watch them pulverize each other in Monopoly.  (I do not have the heart for that game.)  So I truly feel blessed that they appreciate time together and that they will remember this time fondly, even with all the changes and loss this past year has brought.
Much love to you all!!
Frankie
